Lend a Hand

Community supported organizations like the HOUR Exchange are similar to other community service groups, such as locally owned and operated public radio stations, which function with the resources contributed by supporters. The HOUR Exchange is completely funded by its membership and advertisers in our quarterly newspaper, and we are run by a completely volunteer staff.
We are looking for folks who could contribute towards building a strong local currency movement in our area. We are currently seeking help in the following areas:

- Childrens Activities (at quarterly events each 3 months)
- Community outreach (variable time commitments)
- Contributing writers to the HOUR Trader (oOnce every 3 months)
- Help at quarterly potlucks (once every 3 months)
- Fundraising/ grant writing (on your time)
- Help at special community events (once in awhile)
- HOURS disbusement to members (once every 6 weeks)
- Musicians and entertainers (at quarterly potlucks)
- Office help (mailings every 6 weeks)

Join us as our organization continues to grow and we build a strong base of committed individuals who contribute to building a successful local currency program.
