We will celebrate with a Spring HOUR Trader Marketplace and Garden Exchange. Read the following posts for more info about all the events!
Plant and Seed Swap to be during Spring Event - March 20th
4 important details! 1) Plant and Seed Swap, 2) on Sat March 20th 2:30-5pm, 3) at Westminster House (23rd and Monroe, Corvallis), 4) FREE EVENT
Not only do you get to see Corvallis' local currency in action (and participate if you wish) in the indoor market... you can also swap some garden goodies to get your year started off right.
How to participate:
- Bring your extra cuttings, bulbs, plant starts, etc. (Please label clearly - labels will also be available at the swap)
- Bring extra seeds (saved or what-not). You don't have to pre-divide into small quantities
- Invite your fellow gardeners to bring their extras and enjoy the bounty (no need to be an hours member)
- Bring extra containers/grocery sacks or seed envelopes, as items may not already be divided
- Or just come ready to learn!

Annual Membership Meeting Sat March 20th 1pm Westminster House
Members, please plan to participate in the 2010 HOURS Annual Meeting on Sat March 20th 1:00-2:15pm at Westminster House (23rd and Monroe St, Corvallis). This is prior to the Spring Quarterly Market.
Members are encouraged to attend and will have the opportunity to offer comments and opinions during a facilitated vision sharing, hear the HOUR Exchange Annual Report, and elect fellow members for the 2010-2011 Board of Trustees. Stick around and be in the commemorative photo of the members at the event, and we will celebrate our 5-year members and present them with a gift as a thank you for their continued support. For the membership meeting, bring your own table service.

Short articles, calendar submissions, and items of interest are also
welcome. We are still looking for someone to share "Your Side of the
Elephant" for the regular column featured in the HOUR Trader.

Summer Folk Festival

HOURS Folk Festival
Mark your calendars and be sure to join us at the start of summer for the eight annual Summer Folk Festival, Sunday, June 21, outside at Wildfire Restaurant, next to the First Alternative Co-op in South Corvallis.
It is a celebration of All Things Local: artisans, music, activities, community, and fun.
Other organizations working towards sustainability are invited to set up booths to share their information with the community. Space is also available for local artists, crafters, and musicians for a small booth fee of $15.

CORVALLIS — The folk festival held Saturday at Avery Park in Corvallis drew in those interested in all things local.
The festival, called “A Celebration of All Things Local,” featured live music as well as local arts and crafts from 2 p.m. to dusk.

Join us for our Spring Gathering & Annual Meeting this Saturday, March 22, from 11am-2pm, at the McLean Room at 101 NW 23rd Street (23rd & Monroe). We will celebrate with a Spring HOUR Trader Marketplace, media swap, and a community potluck. The spring is a good time for the Garden Exchange. Plan ahead and bring seeds, starts, bulbs, plants, and other items for exchange.
The spring is our time of renewal and when we hold our Annual Meeting. Our Annual Meeting and Potluck Brunch will be from 11am-12pm. Members are encouraged to attend and will have the opportunity to offer comments and opinions during a facilitated vision sharing, hear the HOUR Exchange Annual Report, and elect fellow members for the 2008-2009 Board of Trustees. Stick around and be in the commemorative photo of the members at the event, and we will celebrate our 5-year members and present them with a gift as a thank you for their continued support.
